Edward A. Harof Sr.

President

Ed is a highly skilled financial advisor with more than 36 years in the financial services industry.

Born in New York City, Ed first came to Western New York in 1980 while attending the University at Buffalo School of Management as a finance major. In 1991, after working for a national company for some years, Ed felt the need to best serve his clients by becoming an independent advisor, thus having the opportunity to offer individualized portfolios to his clientele based upon their personal goals and risk ability. In continuing to following that path, Ed opened his own office and selected Commonwealth Financial Network® as his broker/dealer of choice. This enables him to offer almost unlimited options in stocks and bonds, mutual funds, variable annuities, and more with a focus on customer service.

Ed married Joanne in 1987 and they have three grown children: Edward Jr. and his wife, Michelle; Ashley; and Evan, who is now assistant to the president and chief operations officer at Rampart Wealth Management.

Through the years, Ed focused on serving the communities of Williamsville and Clarence as a member of the board of directors for the Town of Clarence Baseball Association and was actively involved as a coach and mentor for Clarence Soccer Association, Clarence Basketball, and the Clarence School District.

Ed is an avid golfer and skier, and he and Joanne are close followers of the University at Buffalo athletics.

Ed holds the FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 securities registrations and is registered as an Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth. He is also licensed for life insurance, long-term care, and variable annuities.

Evan Harof

Assistant to the President/Chief Operations Officer

Evan Harof is our assistant to the president and chief operations officer. He graduated summa cum laude with a degree in economics and a minor in mathematics from King University in Bristol, Tennessee. His education and interest in the national economy forged his path to joining his father in the career of financial advising. He continues to develop his mastery of the business through further training before moving on to advise his own clients. His own diverse skills, which include IT and marketing, will also be an asset in maintaining optimal customer communication and service.

Evan published an economic analytical study of the Tennessee and Virginia border area that centered on the different labor markets and how they were affected by unemployment before and after the 2007 recession. The study broke down various key elements that resulted in disparities in the strength and time of recovery of some sectors of the regional economy as compared to others.

Evan is a graduate of Clarence schools, and, in addition to economics, he has always had a passion for sports. He played football, basketball, and baseball and went on to play Division II baseball as a pitcher for the King University Tornado, where he was named to the All-Conference Academic Honors team for Conference Carolinas. He is now a loyal fan of the Bills, UB Bulls, Sabres, Yankees, and, unfortunately, the Knicks.

Evan holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations. He is also licensed to sell life, accident, and health insurance.
